⠀001.⠀⠀⠀first and foremost, rp is a hobby, and I both have, and expect others to have, other things that they do: other games, family and work obligations, etc etc. While relative consistency is appreciated for long-term contacts integral to my OC's story, I don't expect people to be available 24/7 and would ask that they extend the same courtesy to me.⠀002.⠀⠀⠀I am really big about ooc communication. Because nath is not a particularly "good" aligned character, he can be a real piece of trash. That does not mean that I am a piece of trash, nor do i want you to oocly feel like I have personally treated you poorly! If at any time any of the themes, content, interactions, behavior, etc becomes an issue, please don't hesitate to let me know. I will also try to communicate heavier topics before the scene occurs and would ask for the same in return.⠀003.⠀⠀⠀What sort of content warning should Nath come with? Substance abuse, violence, mental health, suicidal ideation, criminal activity. This is not a comprehensive list, and while a vast majority of interactions will likely never touch on most, please be aware that they could come up in particular situations.⠀004.⠀⠀⠀Shipping: Nathaerus is not monogamous, nor is he suited for a polycule. Romance is not something I would recommend pursuing with him, as he is superficially charming but wildly emotionally unavailable, and unable to commit in the classical sense. In the unlikely event that suits your character as well, grand! It's gonna be an emotional slowburn of indeterminate length.

That said, dismemberment, death, permanent disfigurement and the like would have to be agreed upon ahead of time and the odds of me agreeing are exceptionally slim to none. In turn, i also wouldn't attempt any of these things on your character. If you read an action as Nath trying to outright kill your character, then I wrote it wrong. Please communicate oocly so i can correct it.⠀006.⠀⠀⠀IC is not ooc. I am not my character, he is not me. I like him as a creative endeavor, and i take responsibility for writing him the way he is, HOWEVER, just because he behaves a certain way does not mean i endorse it oocly.⠀007.⠀ ERP: I handle erp on a case by case basis. While nath is what we in the biz like to call "easy" i don't expect erp to always occur. fade to black is valid, and I also value his platonic relationships as much as his physical ones. ⠀arc 001.⠀ ⠀Brume born and raised, as soon as Nathaerus could find work on an airship to make his way out of Ishgard he took it - though perhaps it was expedited by a bounty he managed to acquire in a heist committed in a fit of ennui. From then on, he rarely settled in one place for long; opting instead for work that took him to distant locales as well as odd jobs that peaked his interest at the moment with very little regard for legality.His tendency to drift from place to place extended to his personal relationships. His allegedly charming nature allowed him to make a number of pleasant, if shallow, acquaintances in his stints as a crewmember on various airships; acquaintances which he struggled to maintain ties with once they're not part of his daily life, but he still thought of them fondly all the same.After several turns running moderately successful cons on airships, he chose to stop running from his bounty. Nathaerus took up with a self-proclaimed criminal mastermind that would protect him from the bounty hunters that came after him in exchange for a vow of loyalty, and his talents as a grifter.As most things do between criminals, this arrangement soured and nathaerus cut his ties with the organization, opting to go into business for himself. Unfortunately, this left him vulnerable to bounty hunters once again, and he was apprehended. Luckily for him, the only thing the bounty hunter disliked more than nathaerus, was the man who held Nath's bounty, and he was soon retrieved from the clutches of the noble by a small group of associates, and the bounty hunter in question. much to nathaerus's delight, the man who held the bounty was killed in the process, and the matter was dropped. for now.
⠀arc 002.⠀ ⠀With his newfound freedom, Nathaerus turned his sights from surviving, to thriving. currently in the process of expanding his smuggling operation, he's shifted his attention to where he began: the skies.Recently having acquired an old, luxury passenger ship, he spent the last half a turn retrofitting the vessel into a blockade runner with the façade of the luxury ship it used to be to obscure its true nature. Christened La Vipère, Nathaerus is currently in search of crew members to augment his mammet assistants, and obtaining a slew of jobs, and long-term supply arrangements. The upcoming turn looks to be very profitable for the would-be airship captain, and likely equally as hazardous.

Nathaerus is oddly well connected for a humble airship captain. If someone is on the hunt for a rare material or item, he can probably source it for them. If he can't, he certainly knows someone who can, and he'd be happy to share that information - for a fee.⠀substances.⠀⠀⠀"Need a little pick me up?"⠀
He nearly always has illicit substances on him for personal use and/or for sale. Whether someone wants an upper or a downer, he's certainly got something to cure what ails you - temporarily. Perhaps he'd even introduce you to his supplier if you ask very nicely.⠀odd-jobs.⠀⠀⠀"Don't I know you from...?"
Nathaerus works a plethora of odd jobs, most commonly he'll be found behind a bar or offering his time and company for coin at pleasure-houses as a quick way to earn coin. Perhaps you've seen him at one of these venues.

Nath makes no secret of being from ishgard and his general distate of the place. However, those who lived there ten turns or more ago, may remember a younger man that looked suspiciously like nathaerus who was an infamous troublemaker in the Pillars and petty criminal theorized to be from the Brume, but was never caught. those who are familiar with the nobility in Ishgard might notice he bears a striking resemblance to a noted philanderer in the upper echelons of society.⠀machinery.⠀⠀⠀"like clockwork."
of all the hobbies that nathaerus dabbles in, the one he makes the least fuss about is his interest in machines. he's a gifted tinkerer, able to make things from the mundane like an egg-timer, to the fantastical like aetherically charged bombs. If you need something repaired or modified, and you can get him to discuss the fact that he's silently a nerd, he's the man for the job.
